I was born in Southern California into a family of artists and creative thinkers. I have been working in collage for the past 30 years. In just the last 3 years I have started to paint in acrylics to convey my thoughts and ideas.
I attended Goldenwest College, Fullerton College and Cal State Fullerton. While raising my children I continued to enter local art shows and serve on executive boards of La Habra and Whittier Art Associations.
I consistently have created torn paper collage and various mixed media collage work throughout the years and worked on commissions and have participated in numerous shows and have won various awards. Most recently, I have been involved on the executive board for The Hillcrest Festival of Fine Arts, on the Judges Committee and have exhibited my work there in the invitational show for the past 26 years. I am also a member of the Southern California Collage Society.
In my community, I have been on the Chino Hills Arts Committee where I procure local artists to exhibit their work in the Chino Hills Community Center.
My artwork has been continuously on display and represented by Debra Gonzalez at "On a Mission" in the Claremont Village where I have built a loyal following of collectors all over the United States and Internationally.
My artwork is a combination of different styles and subject matter. I particularly enjoy pushing the envelope with new color combinations and subject matter to create striking, surprising compositions.
